- My foot is still in a cast, but I can do some limited walking in it.
- We have spent lots of time at Mema and Pepa's in Buffalo with a few Columbus trips to deal with the house.
- When we first got to Mema and Pepa's, I was still on "no weight" on foot status. This caused me to fall down the stairs. Apparently the entire flight. Lucky me, I don't remember falling or going to the doctor. yes, concussion seems to be the culprit.
- Shortly after my foot surgery, Justin came home with a job offer in Portland. My initial reaction - in bed, on painkillers, barely able to make it to the bathroom - was "do I look like I want to move." But I've softened. After agonizing over what is really just an unbelievable choice - Portland or San Francisco - it seems we will be in Portland for the foreseeable future.
- I've been gearing up for the big move at the end of August. A place to live. check. Possible preschool. check. Some job and teaching opportunities for myself. check.
- Martin is completely obsessed with playing baseball. Obsessed. He pitches, Papa bats and anyone he can round up is sent off to the outfield to field "high balls"
- We need to go home so that "Word World" isn't available on demand from Mema and Pepa's Tivo.
- But most of all, when not stressing about our yet again changing location and jobs and the Columbus house, we are trying to just smile through the summer.
