Martin's little corner

When we took our birth prep class, everyone tried to hide their shock that we didn't have a nursery theme. Little did they know we hadn't really even decided what area of the apartment we would put the little guy, much less a theme. Over time, however, it has really come together.

Wall quilt handmade by my Aunt Jill. The pinwheels are out of a Pooh Bear toile. We love his little bassinet. It was used by one of his grandparent's as infants (can someone verify if it was Rosalie's or Bob's? Amazingly, I had a choice of which I wanted). Justin used it too. Justin's mom lovingly restored and made the lining for it. We keep putting Martin back in it - not because it fits, but I keep putting off picking out a crib, etc.
You can also see the light up globe that has become little Martin's nightlight in the picture above. In both the pictures above and below, you can also see how his little wool diaper covers are kind of a fun colorful decoration.

Great post! I love his little corner of the world and yes the little wool covers look just like a cute mobile for him to learn his colors by. He is really growing fast. He looks so handsome in his Sunday clothes and so happy. In fact you both look so well and happy. I love you all. Grandma
