Lets start by saying that Justin and I will be in Boston this weekend to attend a conference (more his than mine). Justin made his flight arrangements first and at the point I realized it would be possible for me to get away from work long enough to attend, I asked for his itenerary to make my own. He handed me a piece of paper with the flight info on it, but did not make a point to say he needed it back. So I took it to work, made the reservation (although a seperate one from him... full flights and such) and never thought about it again (BTW Justin, I found it this morning in a pile on my desk).
So I come home last night and Justin asks for the peice of paper with his itenerary. I say I don't know... probably at work, maybe in the trash? He then becomes very annoyed because it was his only copy. I suggest looking it up on travelocity where he made the reservations. He signs in (after being annoyed about having to remember a password, but finds after a try or two a combination that lets him in) and sees no trips planned to Boston this week. So, I suggest looking it up on email. He says he believes he deleted the email and verifies that fact by sorting through hunderdeds of emails. I ask what airline suggesting he can just show up since we know the approximate time of the flight, he doesn't know. I even toss out the idea that maybe he has a second travelocity name where he made the reservation; he conceeds he may, but can't remember. Well, now I'm feeling bad because I've tossed the only copy of his itenerary and he has a critical meeting and an early flight. But this post really isn't about an insight into how Justin and I interact... this is all background info.
Finally, I suggest he call travelocity's 800 number and ask. And he does. And they find the reservation and send it to his email. Then I ask him (while on the phone... I know its rude, but sometimes you need to do it) to ask them what username it was under. Turns out, he has 7 (yes SEVEN!!!!!) travelocity user names from all the times he forgot his last one.
Hmmm... somehow I'm not feeling so bad about tossing the "only" copy!!!!

I've had a rather lousy day... lets call it the happy holy crapday. However, I was delighted by this entry! Even normal people have a certain level of absurd silliness in their lives. Thank goodness.
You got that right. Now I don't feel as senile. Please get a handle on it though Justin or you will really be in trouble when you get our age. My pass words are numerous also and if anyone ever finds my palm they would have access to my very life. Oh well. Thanks for posting. I love it.
btw, happy belated bday
so how goes the grad school decision????
Oh, the grad school decision is in the hands of the grad school people. I'm sure I'll write something about it as soon as I know. :)
