Justin took Kelsie to China for 2 weeks. Just getting the tickets and the passport, etc was quite the undertaking. He had a nice time, but didn't journal/blog because of little access to internet. He may or may not get back to that topic.
In the meantime, we were both feeling bad because we had one apartment empty and another one comming empty and all these people were homeless from the hurricaine. So, I posted a notice on hurricainehousing.org the day Justin left for China. On the day he returned, we picked up Laura and Anthony from the bus station and 4 days later we picked up their friends Michelle and Michele. All 4 of them arrived with practically nothing and unfortuently have lived a life of disadvantage and have minimal skills. All 4 are under the age of 23 and both of the women are expecting babies in January. Its been interesting to try and navigate trying to get them settled in. I'll try and write more about that later.
I've started several weeks of crazy travel. I just got home from Las Vegas where I stayed with Arie for the weekend and helped with the twins (I think I helped... without working breasts, its hard to completely take over like I would have wanted to so Arie could get some rest). They are too cute. Alison is all Iroz... she looks just like an Iroz baby and like Aurlie. She just wants to cuddle and be held, even when she is sleeping; not a terrible request at 1 month old as long as you aren't a twin! She cries, but as soon as her needs are met, stops and is just an alert and happy baby. Stuart is very much a Pahnke baby in looks. He finally has learned how to suck and now thinks he should constantly be sucking something, preferably Arie. He too is a good baby who likes to be held, but not necessarily cuddled. He is much more squirmy. Anyhow, it was a weekend filled with infant fun including an 1.5 hour stretch where I watched them while Arie and Ryan went to church... that 1.5 hours was mostly moments of sheer terror that they would both go from fussy to completely unconsolable. Who do you attend to first? We got through it and were not even crying when Mom and Dad came home, but it sure gave me an appreciation for what Arie does all day long when Ryan is at work. Here is a picture of us when Arie and Ryan came home.

Next weekend we are going to Orlando for a wedding. Its the first time I've done more than pass through on a train in Florida. Then Cousin Victoria is comming for a 11 day visit. During her visit (the following weekend) we will being taking a trip to NYC to check out a couple of schools. Finally, I will be in Boston in mid November. So, lots going on.

Oh thank you sweetheart. It was great to hear from your world. I'm so happy you are able to help those poor unfortunate people from Katrina. We've just tried to triple our fast offerings and humanatarian efforts. I took a big box of clothes to DI a few days ago. They told me there that they send out truckloads all the time to them.
Wish I could have seen you while you were here. I didn't know you had been here. We were in SL most likely. Aurie is coming out tomorrow on her own since Ryan has to work. Then she and your Mom and Dad are coming out on Friday to see us and the Croslands who will be here to water ski.l Fun fun fun. We haven't seen the babies in person yet. Am I excited? For sure. Aren't they just too too cute. Love you both. I didn't know you had gone to China Justin. Please let us know about that and how you liked it. xoxoxxoxoxox
